By appointment, thank you.
My first love was dry pastel, a velvety tactile medium that combines direct contact of the surface with the gestural acts of drawing and painting. In recent years, I have focused on oils, frequently working on location, inspired by all genres: still life, landscape, urban scenes, portraiture.
To Right: " I love painting outdoors. During my first summer in Toronto, I discovered the beautiful old Victorian rowhouses of Summerhill, former railroad workers' cottages surrounded by lush gardens and wrought iron fences."
As for so many painters, the transforming effect of light is always the main subject of my work. After living in and enjoying the unique beauty of Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, and painting in many other idyllic settings, I’ve settled here in Prince Edward County where the little towns, the countryside and the changing seasons endlessly inspire. Enjoy!
